Goalkeeper of the 'Krylya Sovetov' team Sergey Pesyakov commented on the farewell with the team's head coach Igor Osinkin. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
He stated that he had a warm farewell with Osinkin during a dinner with the team members. According to Pesyakov, the non-renewal of the contract with Osinkin was not an unexpected event.
He emphasized that since arriving in Samara last summer, news about coaching changes had been heard once a month. He also acknowledged that there were faults on their part within the team regarding this situation.
The goalkeeper believes that even if the team had successful games, Osinkin did not have the opportunity to stay with the team. Last season, the 'Krylya Sovetov' team finished in tenth place in the Russian Premier League standings.
At the end of the season, the management decided not to renew the contract with Osinkin and offered Magomed Adiyev in his place. This change was an important step in preparing the team for the new season.
