Shahboz Umarov's goal and assist brought victory to "Turon"!
The new season of the Kazakhstan Premier League has started, and 14 teams are competing for the championship. This season, the 'Turon' club will be in the spotlight for football fans in Uzbekistan. The Turkistan region team has strengthened its squad with foreign legionnaires, aiming for great goals.
Uzbek legionnaires – the backbone of 'Turon'
Half of the team's 24-player roster consists of foreigners, including players from Uzbekistan, Belarus, Montenegro, and Russia. Four representatives of Uzbek football – Shahboz Umarov, Odiljon Abdumajidov, Behruz Asqarov, and Khurshid Mukhtorov are expected to become key figures in the team.
Shahboz Umarov and Odiljon Abdumajidov are well acquainted with the atmosphere of the Kazakhstan championship, as they previously played for 'Ordabasi'. Experienced defender Khurshid Mukhtorov and young talented Behruz Asqarov are trying their luck in a foreign league for the first time.
Winning start and Shahbozbek's fantastic game
'Turon' began the new season with a home game against 'Okjetpes'. In the match, Shahboz Umarov, Odiljon Abdumajidov, and Khurshid Mukhtorov took to the field as starters.
The hero of the match was Shahbozbek Umarov. He opened the scoring in the 32nd minute with a precise shot from a pass by Jumabek Abilaykhan. This goal inspired 'Turon', and the team became more active in the second half.
In the 70th minute, Russian legionnaire Luka Zguriskiy scored the second goal, assisted by Shahbozbek Umarov. This pass helped 'Turon' start the season with a victory.
At the end of the match, the score remained unchanged – 'Turon' won 2:0, securing three important points!

Three Uzbek players – Shahbozbek Umarov, Odiljon Abdumajidov, and Khurshid Mukhtorov played the entire match and performed well. In the 89th minute, Behruz Asqarov came on as a substitute and played his first game in the Kazakhstan championship.
Next match – away game against 'Aktobe'
The second round of the Kazakhstan championship will take place on March 8-9. This time, 'Turon' will be the guest of 'Aktobe', aiming for another victory.

Odiljon Abdumajidov – a 23-year-old central defender who joined 'Turon' from 'Metallurg' (Bekabad). He previously played for 'Olimpik' and 'Dinamo Samarkand'.
Khurshidbek Mukhtorov – a 31-year-old experienced defender who joined 'Turon' as a free agent from 'Neftchi' in Fergana. He has played for several clubs in Uzbekistan, including 'Qo'qon-1912', 'Sogdiana', 'Lokomotiv', and 'Nasaf'.
Behruz Asqarov – a 21-year-old forward who is a graduate of 'Pakhtakor' and has been loaned to 'Turon' for a year to gain playing experience.
Shahboz Umarov – a winger who has been playing in the Kazakhstan championship since 2022. He previously won the championship and cup with 'Ordabasi'.
