
Costa Rican forward Manfred Ugalde has joined the Moscow "Spartak" team for their training camp. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to Metaratings, the 23-year-old player returned to the team after a short break. He joined the "Spartak" training camp late because he participated in the CONCACAF Gold Cup with the Costa Rica national team, which reached the quarter-finals.
Last season, in the Russian Premier League, Ugalde scored 17 goals in 29 matches, becoming the league's top scorer. He also provided 5 assists.
Earlier, there were reports that the "Fenerbahce" club was also interested in Ugalde. The forward is considered one of the key transfers aimed at strengthening the team's attacking line.
His addition is expected to play an important role in helping "Spartak" achieve their goals for the new season.
