Reports about the start of large-scale mobilization processes in Iran are widely discussed in the media. According to announcements by local Tasnim and Mehr news agencies, more than one million citizens belonging to the country have been directed to southern regions.
They are being prepared for potential military clashes. Official circles are not only activating existing military structures but also the number of applications from young people wishing to serve voluntarily is sharply increasing.
In particular, it is noted that the number of those wanting to join the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Basij militia, and the regular army has increased. According to experts, the total number of active military personnel in the Iranian armed forces is estimated to be between six hundred thousand and eight hundred thousand.
This composition includes the regular army Artesh and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Especially, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps holds a special place as an elite military structure, and it is said to have more than one hundred fifty thousand servicemen.
At the same time, the Basij forces within this corps are also considered a serious resource. It has nearly ninety thousand active members and hundreds of thousands of reservists, and this number can increase several times if necessary.
According to some estimates, the total mobilization potential may reach up to ten million people. At the same time, information is emerging that the United States is also strengthening its military preparations.
In particular, the Pentagon is said to have ordered the deployment of nearly two thousand soldiers from the 877th Airborne Division to the Middle East. Additionally, the media have reported that the US side is considering scenarios to control or blockade strategic islands around the Strait of Hormuz as part of a possible ground operation.
This could further complicate the situation in the region. Against this background, Israel is also taking measures to strengthen its security.
It has been reported that the country has approved a plan to mobilize up to four hundred thousand reservists. This decision is explained by threats related to Hezbollah and the overall instability in the region.
In short, the current situation is serious and requires caution from all sides. If the tension between the parties is not resolved diplomatically, this situation could escalate into a larger conflict.
