Defender Sergey Volkov is leaving the "Zenit" club. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to the Telegram channel "Insaydy ot Karpa," the 22-year-old player will be loaned to the "Sochi" club. The contract is intended to last until the end of the 2025/2026 season.

On Friday, Volkov will undergo a medical examination at the "Sochi" club. If no health-related issues are identified, an official contract will be signed with the player.

In the opening round of the Russian championship, "Sochi" will play away against "Lokomotiv." The match will take place on July 19, Saturday.

It should be noted that Sergey Volkov has a contract with "Zenit" that is valid for the next three seasons. However, he has only played six matches for the "blue-white-blue" team.

This situation led to his loan to "Sochi." The player will continue his career at the new club and aims to showcase himself further.
