The procedure for using drones in Uzbekistan will be simplified

Starting from 2026, the procedure for using drones by enterprises in Uzbekistan is expected to be significantly simplified. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Within the framework of the state program adopted based on the presidential decree, the rules for using unmanned aerial vehicles in civil aviation will be liberalized. As a result of these changes, legal entities will be granted the right to import, manufacture, and use drones.
At the same time, drones, their spare parts, sales, and maintenance systems will also be regulated. These processes will be carried out based on licenses and certificates, meaning that every step will be governed by rules.
Security issues will not be overlooked either. The country's airspace will be divided into "green," "yellow," and "red" zones, with clear specifications on where and under what conditions flights are permitted in each area.
A unified automated digital infrastructure will be introduced to monitor and control flights. Additionally, special training programs for drone operators, as well as a system for issuing certificates and licenses, will be established.
The Ministries of Defense, Transport, and Digital Technologies, along with the Agency for Strategic Development and Reforms, have been assigned the task of developing the relevant draft documents by June 2026.
