Airbnb platform now includes hotels

The popular Airbnb platform is fundamentally changing its traditional business model by adding hotels to its system, Zamin.uz reports.
Users can now book not only private apartments or houses, but also boutique hotels through the app. After several months of trial periods, New York, Paris, London, Madrid, Rome, and Singapore, New York, Paris, London, Madrid, and Rome, the company has officially partnered with hotels in twenty major cities.
This is reported by influential tech publications. A dedicated hotel search tool has been added to the app interface.
If a customer is looking for a stay of one or two nights, the system automatically suggests convenient hotels. According to Jud Koplanning, head of marketing at the company, this innovation will be especially useful for unplanned trips and business travelers.
The company also guarantees pricing: if a user finds a lower rate elsewhere, Airbnb promises to refund the difference. Airbnb’s leadership does not want to limit itself to accommodation services alone.
The company is expanding its scope to include luggage storage, car rentals, and guided tours with local hosts, aiming to compete with major players in the industry.
This summer, a temporary luggage storage service in over fifteen thousand locations and an updated rental system are planned to launch. Technologically, Airbnb continues to leverage artificial intelligence capabilities, but unlike other travel companies, it has moved away from text-based chatbots.
According to Brian Chesky, CEO of the company, interacting via such bots is not convenient enough for trip planning. Instead, modern technologies will focus on streamlining the host onboarding process and improving customer support systems.
These changes aim to further enhance service quality for users.
