Apple is testing a new Siri system based on large language models

Apple has introduced a new test version of its voice assistant, Siri, rebuilt from the ground up using artificial intelligence — one of the company’s most significant updates to date, according to Zamin.uz.
Now, regular users can try out the system ahead of its official spring rollout. This move is seen as Apple’s key response to major competitors in the global market.
With over two and a half billion active devices worldwide, this rollout is expected to be one of the largest technological tests in Apple’s history. The new Siri differs not only in appearance but also in how it functions.
It can search through a user’s emails, photos, and text messages to find relevant information, understand what’s happening on the screen, and provide precise answers to complex questions — much like modern conversational bots. Users can interact with the assistant not only via voice commands but also through specific areas on the device screen.
Additionally, Apple has, for the first time, launched a standalone app for the voice assistant, offering added convenience for users accustomed to other universal interfaces.
However, due to the assistant being deeply integrated into every part of the operating system, the need for a separate app is minimal. The update works not just on smartphones but also on tablets, computers, and smartwatches.
The system is built on Apple Intelligence technology. By using algorithms tailored to its proprietary data and chips, the company ensures the system runs more efficiently and quickly.
On the security front, personal data is not stored in cloud servers and cannot be accessed by outsiders. Early tests show the assistant can now accurately find specific photos in a library, summarize message content, and automatically add meeting times to the calendar — handling complex tasks with ease.
Although some limitations may appear during the test phase, this update marks the beginning of a new era in the world of digital assistants.
