A murder that took place in a public place — the market area of Surkhandarya region has raised deep concern among the public. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to videos and information circulated on social media, a man was stabbed to death by five individuals in front of his wife. The Surkhandarya regional prosecutor's office issued an official statement regarding this incident.
It was reported that the incident occurred in the Shurchi district and a criminal case was opened under Article 97 of the Criminal Code — intentional murder. During the investigation, two individuals were detained, and a preventive measure of detention was applied to them.
According to law enforcement agencies, the deceased's spouse stated to investigators that the murderers were acquaintances of the family members and had previously threatened them several times. Currently, the investigation is ongoing, and the criminal case is personally supervised by the regional prosecutor's office.
At the same time, similar crimes are being reported in other regions of the country. For example, in another district of Surkhandarya, a man was stabbed by his brother-in-law, in Samarkand a 70-year-old man stabbed his 60-year-old brother-in-law, and in Bukhara, a man stabbed his wife due to a domestic dispute.
In Jizzakh, a man killed his wife and then himself due to jealousy, while in Vobkent, a drunk man stabbed his brother-in-law. The increase in such crimes indicates serious problems in family relationships and the internal balance of society.
The incidents of violence occurring in open public places signify a worsening of the alarming situation. In modern society, resolving conflicts and aggression through violence is wrong, and such actions must be strictly punished by law.
