In the first half of 2025, a total of 405,500 children were born in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This figure is 14,400 less compared to the same period in 2024. Of the newborns, 51.7 percent are boys, which amounts to 209,600, while 48.3 percent are girls, totaling 195,900.
During this six-month period, 84,100 people passed away in the country. This is 2,700 more than in the first half of last year.
Such changes in the demographic situation are being closely monitored by officials. Changes in the population size and its composition are of significant importance in shaping social and economic policies.
Therefore, government agencies continuously monitor the birth and death rates of the population and take necessary measures. This process is crucial for the sustainable development of the country.
