The amount of transport insurance will be increased in 2026

Starting from 2026, the mandatory insurance amount for civil liability of vehicle owners will increase to 80 million soums. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

Currently, this amount is 40 million soums. Additionally, the introduction of a Unified Insurance Billing System is planned for April 1, 2026.

This was reported by Gazeta.uz. According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers dated July 23, 2025, amendments were made to the legislation on mandatory insurance to develop the insurance services market.

These amendments aim to improve the conditions for insuring the civil liability of vehicle owners. According to the decision, insurance rates will be reviewed, and insurance amounts and premiums will be adjusted to market conditions.

The increase in the mandatory insurance amount will expand the ability to compensate for damages to property, life, and health of those affected by road traffic accidents. Additionally, a procedure for issuing limited and unlimited policies based on the number of drivers has been established.

The responsible authorities and the procedure for maintaining the Unified Automated Information System have been clarified to monitor compliance with the mandatory insurance obligation. The Unified Insurance Billing System will ensure centralized accounting of insurance premium revenues.

This system will be implemented in practice starting from April 1, 2026, and will serve to enhance transparency and efficiency in the insurance sector
