3.1 billion dollars will be invested in Andijan
On July 28, 2024, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was presented with detailed information about the effectiveness of the reforms being implemented in the Andijan region and the plans for the near future. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to the decision of the President of Uzbekistan dated November 18, 2024, great attention is being paid to social and economic development, attracting investments, and improving the business environment in the region. This year, important goals have been set, including investing 3.1 billion dollars in the Andijan region, achieving an export volume of 1.5 billion dollars, ensuring employment for 305,000 citizens, and lifting more than 32,000 families out of poverty.

Since the beginning of the year, new production capacities worth 1 billion dollars have been launched in the region, 344 trade and service centers are operating, and new projects worth 2.5 billion dollars have been initiated. In the past six months, 850 million dollars have been invested, and the export volume reached 465 million dollars.

The President's visit to the region in April and the tasks set during it gave a significant boost to Andijan's economic growth. Recently, a "Reform Headquarters" was established with the participation of scientific experts and active entrepreneurs.

This headquarters developed new proposals related to economic and social sectors, and their main directions and results were presented. For example, an innovative clinic is planned to be established based on robotic technologies brought from Germany, Turkey, and Japan with an investment of 40 million dollars.

Additionally, 20 million euros will be attracted from Italy to establish an agro-cluster, and a modern agrologistics complex will be built with an investment of 25 million euros from Germany. More than 30 new initiatives have been proposed to establish tourist facilities in the city of Khanabad and the districts of Khojaabad and Buloqbosh.

As a result of implementing additional projects worth 1 billion 100 million dollars, 22,000 new jobs will be created, and an additional export potential of 200 million dollars will be opened. The President emphasized an individual approach to each city and district, giving instructions to direct investments to underdeveloped areas, educate and employ unemployed and needy families, and turn neighborhoods into crime-free zones.

The economic potential of the Andijan region is expanding, and new investments and development paths will enhance the living standards of the population and elevate the region's reputation to a new level. Source: president.uz
