
Starting from August 1, 2025, in Uzbekistan, the amounts of fines for a number of violations aimed at protecting the environment and ensuring ecological sustainability have been increased. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Now, throwing waste outside designated areas will result in fines ranging from 412,000 to 1,236,000 soums. These measures are aimed at raising the ecological culture of the population and keeping public places clean.
Additionally, a fine for burning plant waste has been set from 1,236,000 to 2,060,000 soums, as such actions can lead to forest fires. A fine of 1,236,000 to 2,060,000 soums will also be applied for polluting water sources, which poses a serious threat to public health.
For violations related to damaging or cutting down trees, shrubs, and seedlings, fines have been set from 10,300,000 to 20,600,000 soums. Organizations and individuals that pollute the atmosphere during construction will be fined 4,120,000 soums.
In cases of illegal possession, feeding, or selling of prohibited wild animals, fines range from 2,060,000 to 4,120,000 soums, and the animals will be confiscated. In cases of ecological damage and failure to take necessary measures to restore the natural environment, fines will be set from 412,000 to 1,236,000 soums.
Individuals who obstruct the activities of the ecology inspector will be fined from 2,060,000 to 4,120,000 soums. According to the Cabinet of Ministers' decision No. 464, damage caused by harming a healthy tree will also be calculated and must be compensated by the offender.
