Uzbekistan has officially joined the international treaty on the establishment of an intergovernmental council for the fight against corruption. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This treaty was signed in 2013 in the city of Minsk and aims to establish effective cooperation between states, exchange experiences, and adopt agreed measures. According to the presidential decree dated July 30, 2025, this treaty will ensure our country's active participation in global anti-corruption initiatives.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been designated as the authorized body for the implementation of this agreement and has taken on the obligation to provide relevant information to the depositary. Additionally, the Cabinet of Ministers and other responsible agencies have been tasked with ensuring the implementation of the treaty.
Once the treaty comes into force, Uzbekistan will have the opportunity to align its legislation, engage in practical initiatives, and participate in international projects. This step will further strengthen our country's global anti-corruption partnerships.
