The Cabinet of Ministers has established the procedure for calculating technological losses that occur during the processes of electricity production, transmission, and distribution, as well as for approving their permissible standards. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This new regulation includes accurate calculation of technological consumption in electric energy, setting standards, and the obligations and control procedures of authorized bodies. Additionally, a mechanism for reviewing the approved standards will also be introduced.
Now, owners of electrical networks, namely operators of power plants, transmission, and distribution systems, will independently calculate each technological consumption and submit reports. This information will be verified and coordinated by the regional departments of the inspection under the Cabinet of Ministers.
Subsequently, the reports will be submitted to the Ministry of Energy and approved by the Agency for the Development of the Energy Market. Technological losses include technical losses of electric energy, energy used for the needs of network facilities, and losses arising from permissible errors in the accounting system.
Every year by January 15, facility owners must submit a detailed report to the Ministry of Energy containing the following information: permissible standards and monthly indicators of technological consumption, reasons for discrepancies between actual and permissible standards, observed accidents, outages, weather and other emergencies, as well as the level of physical depreciation of electrical network facilities. The main goal of the new regulation is to strictly monitor losses in electric energy and to increase transparency and accountability in the network.
Experts believe that this procedure will play a significant role in increasing energy efficiency, reducing technical losses, and cutting costs. This innovation is of great importance for organizations operating in the energy sector and consumers, serving to ensure the efficiency and stability of electrical networks.
In other words, in the coming years, the results of transparency and effective management in the network will be clearly felt (source: Cabinet of Ministers decision)
