Improvements in air quality are being observed in the city of Tashkent. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Recent measurements have rated the air quality as "good," which has generated positive feedback among the population. Experts note that the levels of PM10 and ozone substances are within permissible limits and do not pose a serious threat to human health.
However, the level of fine harmful particles – PM2.5 is slightly above the standards set by the World Health Organization, necessitating caution in this regard. It is important to take effective measures to reduce these particles, as they can negatively impact the respiratory system and overall health.
The improvement in air quality may have been influenced by increased wind strength, more precipitation, and restrictions on industrial activities. These changes have heightened the desire among the population to live in a healthy environment and have placed significant responsibility on the government and the public.
At the same time, Uzbekistan does not yet belong to the group of countries that fully meet WHO standards. Therefore, it is necessary to continuously monitor air quality, reduce pollution sources, and strengthen environmental control.
Today, informing the public through mass media and establishing effective cooperation between government agencies is one of the important tasks. Problems related to clean air in Tashkent have existed for many years, but recent changes are raising hopes.
Clean air is not only a matter of nature but also a fundamental right of every citizen, and we must all take responsibility to achieve it. Source: IQAir, 2024 reports.
