Cases of traveling on public transport in Tashkent without paying the fare are increasing. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
During the period from January to June 2025, control authorities in the transport sector identified 4,090 passengers who traveled on buses without purchasing tickets, and they were fined. These cases were revealed as a result of comprehensive raids conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport and the State Institution for Monitoring and Control of Public Transport.
It was found that many passengers attempted to evade control by entering the bus without a ticket or using the back doors. However, due to increased monitoring, such violations are being documented, and fines are being imposed legally.
According to the law, individuals who use public transport without paying the fare are subject to a fine of 41,200 soums. This amount is approximately 25 times more than the current one-time bus ticket price.
Therefore, passengers who travel without a ticket may incur significant financial losses. Responsible organizations emphasize the need to cultivate a culture of traveling on public transport only with a ticket.
Each ticket represents not only personal responsibility but also a financial foundation for the entire city's transport system. Additionally, efforts to further develop camera and electronic monitoring systems in Tashkent's public transport are ongoing.
These systems allow for the timely detection of any illegal actions and complex methods. In conclusion, fair and equal use of public transport begins with civic responsibility and legal respect.
By purchasing a single ticket, you support not only yourself but the entire system. Source: zamin.uz
