The incident that occurred in the Bo‘stonliq district of Tashkent region has sparked widespread discussions on social media. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Images of dirty and foul-smelling water flowing from the Chorvoq reservoir have alarmed many internet users. The video recordings clearly showed that sewage pipes were directly connected to the reservoir.
This situation raised not only surprise but also serious concern. As a result of investigations, it was revealed that some citizens had dug special ditches and installed plastic pipes to discharge sewage, rain, and irrigation water directly into the Chorvoq reservoir near the Burchmulla neighborhood.
This poses a significant threat to ecological balance and public health. As a result of inspections conducted in collaboration with ecological monitoring agencies, internal affairs, and crime prevention services, legal action was taken against the responsible employee of the reservoir.
An administrative report was formalized against him based on part 2 of article 82 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and a fine of 4 million 120 thousand soums was imposed. Additionally, the illegally dug ditches and installed sewage pipes were completely removed by specialists.
This incident once again demonstrated that non-compliance with ecological regulations poses a serious threat to public safety. State authorities will continue to take strict measures against such cases (source: zamin.uz)
