A significant change has occurred in the fuel market of Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The starting price of AI-92 gasoline produced at the Bukhara oil refinery has been significantly reduced on the exchange. Now, one liter of high-quality gasoline is sold for 9,400 soums.
This information was provided by the press service of the "Uzbekneftgaz" joint-stock company on August 11. Based on the directive of the state leader to provide the population with affordable and quality fuel, the company is implementing a strategy to gradually reduce prices.
Production processes at the Bukhara oil refinery have been optimized, and comprehensive measures have been taken to reduce costs. As a result, the volume of gasoline production has increased, and prices have decreased.
In exchange trading, the price of one ton of AI-92 gasoline was initially reduced from 12 million 881 thousand soums to 12 million 628 thousand soums. This corresponds to a starting price of 9,400 soums per liter.
As officials have noted, this change will have a positive impact not only on consumers but also on the entire fuel market. The management of "Uzbekneftgaz" plans to continue the process of price reduction and has indicated that similar measures may be applied to high-octane fuel types in the future.
The main goal of the company is to ensure the stability of the domestic market, protect consumer interests, and provide quality fuel at affordable prices. Financial and economic experts assess this process as an important step that enhances market competition and contributes to economic growth.
At the same time, the decrease in prices has been positively received among the population, and many consider it a factor that significantly reduces fuel costs (source: Press service of Uzbekneftgaz JSC, August 11, 2025)
