
From March 23 to 25, a sharp change in weather is expected across the republic, with humid and relatively cool air masses entering Uzbekistan, reports the Uzhydromet agency.
Rain is expected across the republic, with heavy rain possible in some areas, and thunderstorms may occur. In the mountainous regions of the republic, there is a possibility of rain turning into snow.
On March 23-24, wind speeds may increase to 13-18 meters per second in some areas, and in certain places, it may occasionally reach up to 20 meters per second.
Daytime temperatures will gradually decrease to +12…+17 degrees.
Additionally, due to the expected rains from March 23 to 27, in the foothill and mountainous regions of the republic, including:
Qashqadaryo region: Yakkabog‘, Dehqonobod, Chiroqchi, Kitob, Shahrisabz, Qamashi, G‘uzor districts;
Surxondaryo region: Sariosiyo, Uzun, Oltinsoy, Denov, Boysun, Sherobod, Sho‘rchi, Qumqo‘rg‘on, Muzrobod districts;
Samarqand region: Urgut, Samarqand, Bulung‘ur, Nurobod, Qo‘shrabot, Kattaqo‘rg‘on, Payariq, Jomboy, Ishtixon districts;
Navoiy region: Xatirchi, Navbahor, Nurota, Konimex, Karmana districts;
Jizzax region: Zomin, Baxmal, G‘allaorol, Sharof Rashidov, Forish, Yangiobod districts;
Toshkent region: Ohangaron, Bo‘stonliq, Parkent, Pskent, O‘rta Chirchiq, Yuqori Chirchiq districts and in the cities of Angren and Olmaliq;
Namangan region: Pop, Kosonsoy, Chortoq, Chust, Namangan, Yangiqo‘rg‘on districts;
Farg‘ona region: So‘x, Shohimardon, Farg‘ona, Beshariq districts;
Andijon region: Andijon, Asaka, Jalaquduq, Qo‘rg‘ontepa, Paxtaobod, Izboskan, Xo‘jaobod, Marhamat districts and in the city of Xonobod, there may be incidents of flooding.
“We ask citizens living in the foothill and mountainous areas, vacationers, and drivers moving in mountainous regions to take precautionary measures,” the report states.
There is a possibility of rainwater accumulation across the republic, which may lead to flooding in the areas.
