A comprehensive system of state care and assistance is being established for Palestinian citizens brought to Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Measures in this regard are outlined in the decree signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on August 14, titled “On measures to establish a system of state care and assistance based on principles of compassion and mercy for a group of Palestinian citizens in Uzbekistan.” According to the decree, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education will place Palestinian children in state preschool education institutions and schools according to their places of residence.
Deputy heads of institutions will be assigned to help them adapt more quickly to the educational process. Additionally, in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations, continuous monitoring will be organized to ensure the adaptation and development of the children.
Palestinian children will be fully exempt from parental fees in state preschool education institutions until January 1, 2028. They will be admitted without waiting in line, based on applications submitted to the “Inson” social services centers.
Furthermore, within the framework of the President’s decree dated January 17, 2025, Palestinian students will have the opportunity to receive additional education in state general secondary education institutions. This education includes vocational training, information technology, and preparation for higher education, with all expenses covered by the State budget.
The Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations will recognize documents of general secondary specialized, vocational, higher education, retraining, and advanced training obtained abroad within two months without test exams or fees. This will allow Palestinians to continue their professional and scientific activities in Uzbekistan quickly and without obstacles.
The Ministry of Health will register Palestinian citizens at family doctor points, polyclinics, and multidisciplinary central polyclinics according to their places of residence. They will have the right to receive free medical care as part of low-income families, with necessary referrals provided at the expense of the State budget.
This decree once again confirms Uzbekistan’s humanitarian policy and traditions of compassion and mercy, opening new opportunities for Palestinians (source: zamin.uz).
