A large-scale training exercise was organized in the O‘rta Chirchiq district of Tashkent region to enhance preparedness for emergencies. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The exercise was aimed at effectively organizing search and rescue operations in the event of an aviation accident and testing cooperation between various agencies. The event took place at the Ministry of Defense’s paratrooper training center, where practical work was carried out to eliminate the consequences of a simulated aviation accident.
During the exercise, a scenario was presented in which a passenger plane lost communication with the air traffic controller just before landing and crashed before reaching Tashkent city. As a result, a severe fire broke out, and simulated casualties and injuries occurred.
To address this situation, a pre-developed plan was activated. Nearly 250 qualified specialists and more than 20 pieces of special equipment participated in the event.
With their assistance, search operations at the scene, fire extinguishing, and safety assurance were carried out. Rescuers, within their groups, performed tasks such as controlling the fire, evacuating people to a safe area, providing first medical aid to the injured, and promptly transporting them to hospitals.
Additionally, practical exercises were conducted on evacuating hazardous cargo from the plane. This event served as an important experience for improving emergency preparedness levels and effectively organizing rescue operations (source: zamin.uz).
