
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Baxtiyor Saidov, held a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman bin Hasan bin Ali Al Thani. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
During the meeting, the parties discussed regional and global security issues, prospects for cooperation in the defense sector, and opportunities to further develop the strategic partnership between the two countries. At the end of the meeting, Baxtiyor Saidov spoke about coordinating cooperation with Qatar in the military field to exchange experience and knowledge, as well as to reduce regional threats.
The importance of joint measures to ensure peace and stability and strengthen cooperation in the field of security was especially emphasized. The parties agreed to take the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Qatar to a new level and to implement new projects in the defense and security sectors.
