
The start date for the 2025/2026 academic year in Uzbekistan has been confirmed. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the decision of the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovations, classes at higher education institutions and academic lyceums will officially begin at the scheduled time. According to the information, classes for all levels of academic lyceum students as well as first-year students at universities and institutes will commence on September 3, 2025.
At the same time, classes for second-year and higher-level students at higher education institutions are scheduled to begin on September 8. Education officials emphasized that special programs will be organized for first-year students in the new academic year.
These programs will include a “Week of Introduction to the Credit Education System” and “Events Dedicated to Student Life.” These initiatives aim to familiarize young people closely with the higher education environment and to develop their independent study and research skills.
During the week, students will receive detailed information about the content, advantages, and opportunities of the credit-module system. Additionally, recommendations will be provided on how to choose elective subjects correctly and purposefully.
Students will also gain important knowledge about academic integrity rules and ways for personal and professional development. Source: zamin.uz
