At the invitation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, King Abdullah II ibn al-Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan will pay a state visit to Uzbekistan on August 25-26. This visit will mark a new era in the relations between the two countries.
The main events for the high-level guest are planned to be held in the ancient and beautiful city of Samarkand. The political and cultural significance of Samarkand adds special meaning to this visit.
The official program includes detailed discussions on cooperation in political, trade-economic, and investment sectors. Additionally, issues related to implementing joint projects in important industries such as chemistry, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, textiles, and mining are on the agenda.
Great attention will also be paid to developing cultural and humanitarian ties, strengthening friendship and solidarity between our peoples. The negotiations will include exchanges of views on current directions in international and regional politics.
This indicates the growing role of these two countries not only in bilateral but also in broad regional cooperation. At the conclusion of the talks, a number of important documents and bilateral agreements are expected to be signed.
