
A modern and environmentally friendly ecotourism complex is planned to be established around the South Surxon reservoir located in Qumqo‘rg‘on district of Surxondaryo region. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This project covers a total area of 15.7 hectares and its cost exceeds 140 billion soums. According to the Surxondaryo regional administration, the project places great emphasis on nature conservation, ensuring ecological sustainability, and preserving biodiversity in the area.
The complex plans to expand green spaces, organize pedestrian and bicycle paths, and construct modern infrastructure facilities. Additionally, a wastewater treatment system will be implemented to prevent environmental damage.
The main goal of this project is to create an attractive ecotourism destination not only for local but also for foreign tourists. Areas intended for recreation and walking will be arranged, as well as services for children and families.
This will serve to create new jobs for the local population and develop tourism infrastructure. The regional governor emphasized the responsible implementation of each stage of the project and instructed to complete construction works within the set deadlines.
The ecotourism complex around the South Surxon reservoir will not only reveal the natural potential of the area but also help shape it as a promising new point in the country's tourism sector. This project will play an important role in developing ecotourism, protecting the environment, and raising public awareness.
