The heads of state first visited the Shahi Zinda complex. The mausoleums here are believed to belong to Qusam ibn Abbas, one of the companions of the Prophet Muhammad, and other famous figures.
The Shahi Zinda complex demonstrates the development of architecture and decorative art over the centuries. This complex was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2001.
The King of Jordan paid tribute to the memory of Qusam ibn Abbas, and the Quran was recited. Later, the mausoleum of Amir Timur was visited.
Here, the guests were provided with detailed information about the ruler's state policy, military skills, and diplomatic relations. The life and activities of Amir Timur, as well as the fact that his state was the largest country of its time, left a great impression on the guests.
The heads of state also visited the Registan complex. This complex consists of the madrasahs of Mirzo Ulugbek, Sherdor, and Tillakori, which have served as centers of science and education for centuries.
Registan is considered the most important historical symbol of Samarkand. During the visit, the high-ranking guests were given detailed information about the history of the construction of these buildings, the uniqueness of their patterns, and the restoration work carried out in the square.
