Nearly 20 tons of kiwi have been delivered from Uzbekistan to the port of Astrakhan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
These products have successfully passed phytosanitary control. This was reported by Kursiv.media.
According to statistical data, in the first seven months of 2025, a total of nearly 1.3 million tons of fruits and vegetables were exported from Uzbekistan. The export volume increased by 35.2 percent in monetary terms, exceeding 1 billion dollars.
During this period, vegetable exports amounted to 583.8 thousand tons, and fruits to 148.2 thousand tons. In addition, 38.8 thousand tons of mung beans and 4.9 thousand tons of peppers were also exported.
These figures demonstrate the growth rates in Uzbekistan's agricultural export sector. In 2021, entrepreneur Shukhrat Umarov from Kokand started kiwi cultivation.
According to him, kiwi fruit has high cold resistance, and its yield is increasing year by year. This new direction is of significant importance for diversifying agriculture and enhancing export potential in our country.
