From September 1, 2025, a number of important changes in legislation and social spheres will come into effect in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The reforms to be implemented in the second half of this year will positively impact not only civil servants but also employees of educational institutions and the wider public. Salaries of directors and their deputies of general secondary education and preschool institutions will be significantly increased.
In particular, the base tariff rate for school directors will be raised by 20 percent, and for deputies by 15 percent. The salaries of kindergarten directors will be equated to those of school directors in groups III and IV.
These changes will improve the wages of thousands of school and kindergarten directors and their deputies across the Republic. Starting from January 1, 2026, additional bonuses based on KPI results will be introduced monthly for directors and their deputies.
These bonuses will amount to 20 and 10 percent respectively of the base tariff rates. Additionally, extra positions will be allocated in district departments to enable effective monitoring of students' knowledge and the organization of foreign language and vocational training processes.
A system to incentivize employees with long years of service in regional units will also be established. Furthermore, bonus payments for school staff will be increased up to 75 percent of the minimum wage, which will serve to appropriately motivate their work.
New opportunities are also being created for civil servants. From September 1, the mobile application “Civil Servant” will be launched.
Through this app, employees will have the opportunity to improve their qualifications, develop competencies, and communicate effectively with colleagues. The app will also allow users to submit proposals for improving the activities of state bodies and exchange views with leaders.
It will serve as a convenient tool for creating and monitoring personal development plans, as well as forming and updating the database of employees' contact information. Starting from the 2025/2026 academic year, living expenses for children from poor families residing in student dormitories of state higher education institutions will be covered by the state budget.
This measure is implemented within the framework of the “From Poverty to Prosperity” program and will provide significant relief to families. Additionally, from September 25, citizens of Uzbekistan will have the right to travel to Jordan without a visa.
This opportunity will take effect 30 days after the visa-free regime agreement between the two countries comes into force. Uzbek citizens will be able to stay in Jordan visa-free for up to 30 days.
This step will promote the development of tourism, scientific, and business relations. Thus, the changes introduced from September 1, 2025, represent an important step aimed at improving social and cultural life for education system employees, civil servants, students, and the wider public (source: zamin.uz).
