
Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia has reached a new level. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Uzbekistan's ambassador to Russia, Botirjon Asadov, emphasized at a roundtable held in Moscow that relations between the two countries have reached an unprecedented level today. According to him, the foundation of this cooperation is based on constant reliable dialogue between the states, meetings at the parliamentary and government levels, joint projects in industry, as well as cultural and humanitarian ties.
Over the past eight years, the trade volume between the two countries has tripled, and it is planned to increase this figure to 30 billion dollars within the next five years. Russia is considered one of the largest investors in Uzbekistan's economy.
Additionally, the interest of Russian tourists in our country is also increasing. In the first eight months of this year, the flow of tourism increased by 12 percent, with approximately 550 thousand tourists visiting.
In the near future, it is planned that Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Russia's President Vladimir Putin will meet in China to discuss bilateral cooperation issues. This information was taken from the Kursiv.media website.
