
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev made an official visit to the People's Republic of China. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
He arrived in the city of Tianjin, accompanied by the First Lady. At Binhai International Airport, the high-ranking guest was ceremoniously welcomed by China's Minister of Transport Liu Wei and other senior officials.
During the ceremony, the flags of both countries were raised, and an honor guard was formed. According to the visit program, Shavkat Mirziyoyev will participate in the upcoming meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization from August 31 to September 1, as well as in the summit sessions held in the SCO plus format.
Additionally, the president will take part in a historic military parade in Beijing commemorating the 80th anniversary of Japan's defeat in World War II. Experts believe that this visit will serve to further strengthen relations between the two countries and expand prospects for regional cooperation.
