
This year, the first day of Eid al-Fitr falls on March 30, Sunday, according to the information received from the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, and it has been determined that the Eid al-Fitr holiday will be widely celebrated in Uzbekistan on March 30, 2025.
Accordingly, in accordance with Article 208 of the Labor Code:
- the first day of Eid al-Fitr, which is considered a non-working holiday, falls on a Sunday in 2025, and therefore this holiday will be moved to March 31, Monday;
- it is accepted that non-working holiday days cannot be moved for tasks that cannot be interrupted due to production-technical and organizational conditions (such as continuous production, daily services to the population, working on a shift basis, etc.).
The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regional and Tashkent city administrations, the Committee for Religious Affairs, the Association of Neighborhoods of Uzbekistan, the National Agency for Social Protection, and other partner organizations will carry out relevant measures to hold Eid al-Fitr in accordance with our national traditions and customs in the regions.
The Tourism Committee, together with the Ministry of Transport, will create favorable conditions and opportunities for our compatriots to visit sacred places and historical sites during the days of Eid al-Fitr.
The National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan, the National Information Agency of Uzbekistan, and other mass media are recommended to widely cover events related to the celebration of Eid al-Fitr.
