
According to the results of August 2025, it was reported that the prices of certain products and services increased in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the State Statistics Committee, the overall prices of goods and services increased by 0.4 percent in August compared to July. The annual inflation rate amounted to 8.8 percent.
This indicator slightly decreased compared to August of last year, as inflation was 10.5 percent in August 2024. Price increases varied by region.
The highest increase was recorded in Fergana region, amounting to 9.7 percent. Prices rose by 9.4 percent in Sirdaryo region and by 8.9 percent in Khorezm.
The lowest increase was in Jizzakh region, which was 8.1 percent. Among food products, egg prices rose by 2.7 percent, chicken meat (thigh and drumstick parts) by 2.1 percent, and lamb by 1.4 percent.
Boneless beef prices increased by 0.7 percent, and boneless veal by 0.2 percent. Cottonseed oil prices rose by 1.6 percent, and sugar by 0.1 percent.
At the same time, the sale of beef at low prices (around 65–75 thousand soums per kilogram) somewhat stabilized the overall price indicators. Prices of some products decreased.
For example, rice prices decreased by 0.1 percent, bread made from premium flour by 0.2 percent, and caramel candies by 0.2 percent. Significant changes were also observed in the fruit and vegetable market.
Watermelon prices increased by 28.7 percent in August, reaching a record level. Melon prices rose by 11.7 percent, cabbage by 11.4 percent, potatoes by 3.5 percent, and bananas by 2.8 percent.
At the same time, tomato prices decreased by 16.8 percent, grapes by 5.4 percent, eggplants by 4.3 percent, cucumbers and carrots by 3.1 percent, bell peppers by 2.8 percent, onions by 2.3 percent, and apples by 1 percent. Prices of services other than bread and food also changed.
The prices of housing maintenance and repair materials increased by 0.4 percent, medicines by 0.2 percent, and healthcare services by 0.6 percent. In the automotive sector, gasoline prices increased on average by 3.1 percent.
The price of AI-80 gasoline rose by 4.6 percent, reaching 8,746 soums per liter. AI-91 gasoline is sold at 11,461 soums, AI-92 at 11,126 soums, and AI-95 at 12,983 soums.
Propane prices increased by 0.6 percent, while there was no significant change in methane prices, although they remain 31 percent higher compared to last year. Additionally, parking service prices increased by 0.7 percent, driving training courses by 1.6 percent, and vehicle repairs by 0.6 percent.
