Uzbekistan's cultural heritage is being enriched with another important historical artifact. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
A unique item dating back to the 12th-13th centuries, from the Ghaznavid era — a lotus-shaped lead vessel — is being returned from London to Uzbekistan. This rare find was kept for many years at the famous Orpheus Gallery in London.
Now this artifact is brought to our homeland and will be exhibited among the exhibits of the center of Islamic civilization. The uniqueness of the vessel is evident not only in its shape but also in its historical significance.
According to experts, it was produced in the Middle Ages and is a vivid example of the craftsmanship culture and art of that period. Today, extensive work is being carried out in Uzbekistan to preserve historical heritage and to repatriate art pieces belonging to our country from abroad.
In particular, in recent years, a number of books, manuscripts, and artworks kept abroad have been brought to Uzbekistan. These efforts are of great importance in restoring our cultural wealth and further enriching the history of our people.
