According to the Statistical Agency's analysis for August, the price of one kilogram of plov varies across different regions. The capital, Tashkent, once again leads with the highest plov prices.
Official data shows that the average price of one kilogram of plov in Tashkent is 117,400 soms. Interestingly, in February of this year, this price was 10,000 soms lower.
The top three regions with the highest plov prices also include Tashkent region (113,600 soms) and Fergana region (115,000 soms). In Samarkand, the average price of plov is 113,400 soms.
The cheapest plov is sold in Karakalpakstan, where the average price per kilogram does not exceed 98,600 soms.
Additionally, plov prices in Andijan and Syrdarya regions are relatively low, amounting to 105,500 and 105,700 soms respectively. In other regions, plov prices are as follows: Bukhara 108,400 soms, Jizzakh 110,000 soms, Kashkadarya 111,700 soms, Surkhandarya 111,500 soms, Navoi 110,000 soms, Namangan 109,400 soms, and Khorezm around 107,000 soms.
Officials emphasize that the price differences mainly stem from the market prices of products, especially meat and vegetables. Moreover, regional consumption habits also affect the cost of plov.
Thus, while Tashkent has the highest plov prices, Karakalpakstan stands out as the region where the cheapest plov is sold. The report details are based on information from the One.uz website.
