
At the conclusion of the meeting and negotiations held in Beijing between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping, a ceremony was held for the exchange of important documents between the two countries. This ceremony marked a new stage in the relations between the two states. Among the main documents, the "Uzbekistan–2030" strategy and a cooperation program aimed at harmonizing the "One Belt, One Road" initiative were signed.
Additionally, agreements on establishing cultural centers and cooperation in the field of medical services were also approved. During the visit, agreements were reached to strengthen cooperation in several areas.
In particular, the second phase of the project for delivering modern technical vessels – riverboats to Uzbekistan will be developed, technical and economic cooperation will be expanded, and joint work on conformity assessment of products and services will be carried out. Furthermore, agreements will be implemented to strictly comply with phytosanitary requirements for the supply of melons and almonds from Uzbekistan to China.
The peaceful use of space sciences and technologies, strengthening competition policy, developing human resources, and expanding partnership in the digital economy sector are also important directions envisaged during the meeting. Additionally, the establishment of brotherhood and partnership relations between Samarkand region and Tianjin city was agreed upon.
A joint cooperation will be established between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade. These agreements will elevate economic, cultural, and regional cooperation between the two countries to a new level.
