The Tashkent city administration announced the introduction of a new night transport system that will connect tourism routes in the capital. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Within this system, special night buses will operate from 22:00 to 06:00. Through these buses, passengers will have convenient access to the airport, railway station, metro stations, large markets, shopping centers, and student dormitories.
At the initial stage, 15 routes will be launched, and buses will run every half hour. Buses operating on special routes will be painted red and marked with numbers such as “T1”, “T2”.
This will help distinguish them from regular transport vehicles. The buses are equipped according to modern standards, featuring air conditioning and free Wi-Fi inside the cabins.
Additionally, a video surveillance system will be installed, and special facilities will be created for passengers with disabilities. The fare will not differ from the usual bus price.
According to Olloyor Norbutayev, a representative of the capital's transport department, the project will be implemented in two stages, with a total of 54 buses serving passengers. In the initial years, expenses will be covered by the local budget, with approximately 33 billion soums expected to be spent.
The authorities emphasized that the system is intended to provide convenience to the population rather than generate more income. Experts believe that such initiatives are important for increasing tourism flow and developing transport infrastructure in the capital.
Creating the opportunity for safe and comfortable night travel for passengers will further enhance the city's prestige. Source: zamin.uz
