Every year on September 5th, International Charity Day is widely celebrated around the world. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This date was not chosen by chance, because on this very day, the great person Mother Teresa, who dedicated her life to helping the poor and needy, passed away. She devoted her entire life to alleviating the pain and hardships of humanity and gave hope to millions of people.
Mother Teresa was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979. Her work holds an important place in history for her unparalleled services in fighting poverty, spreading kindness, and showing compassion to people.
She became a global motto with her words, “We cannot all do great things, but we can do small things with great love.” The main goal of International Charity Day is to increase the sense of social responsibility in society, support charitable events, and unite people worldwide to find solutions to problems related to poverty, hunger, lack of education, and health.
Today, the concept of charity is not limited to material assistance only. A person can share their time, knowledge, experience, and even kindness as charity.
For example, giving a book as a gift to a young child, easing the burden of an elderly person, or feeding a homeless animal are all considered true acts of kindness. Source: zamin.uz
