Additional measures are being taken in Tashkent city to ensure transparency and fairness of prices at discounted fairs. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The press service of the Tashkent city administration announced this. Special trade fairs were organized on the initiative of the administration and the Department for Combating Economic Crimes to create convenience for the population and to sell various consumer goods at low prices.
Recently, complaints have increased on social networks about some stalls selling at prices higher than the officially set prices. This situation caused dissatisfaction among citizens.
Therefore, additional control measures have been introduced to prevent artificial price increases and to ensure transparency. In particular, the installation of surveillance cameras has begun at stalls selling affordable products.
So far, surveillance cameras have been installed at the Mirobod farmers' market and the "Eski Juva" (Chorsu) market. Soon, a similar technical control system is planned to be implemented at other major markets in the capital.
As officials emphasized, these measures will provide the population with access to genuinely affordable products and ensure fairness and transparency in the trading process (source: press service of the Tashkent city administration).
