The international ranking of the Uzbekistan passport has been updated, and its global position has been determined. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the Henley Index, based on data from the International Air Transport Association, Uzbek citizens have visa-free access to 62 countries. This index evaluates citizens' international mobility opportunities and plays an important role in determining the level of global mobility.
In the updated ranking, the Uzbekistan passport took 72nd place. The highest position was held by the Singapore passport, whose holders have visa-free access to 193 countries.
Japan and South Korea shared second place, offering visa-free access to 190 countries. Among Central Asian countries, the Kazakhstan passport is considered the strongest.
Kyrgyzstan ranks 71st, Uzbekistan 72nd, Tajikistan 78th, and Turkmenistan 84th. Thus, Uzbekistan is one rank below Kyrgyzstan but above Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
Additionally, the Kazakhstan passport ranks higher than those of Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Mongolia. At the bottom of the list are Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria.
Their citizens have the most limited visa-free travel opportunities and show the lowest levels of international mobility. Thus, the update of the Henley Index provides a clear understanding of the international recognition and mobility opportunities of the Uzbekistan passport for its citizens.
This information will be important in the future for assessing citizens' opportunities in travel and international relations. Source: Henley & Partners Passport Index.
