
Uzbekistan's ambassador to Malaysia, Karomiddin Gadoyev, held a meeting with Praba Thiagarajah, founder and executive chairman of the board of Basis Bay, one of the country's major IT companies. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The meeting discussed opportunities and prospects for cooperation in the field of digital technologies. Praba Thiagarajah emphasized that the company has established a data center in Malaysia based on a unique national residency.
Additionally, since 2009, they have been operating an environmentally friendly and energy-efficient "green" data center in the Asian region. During the meeting, taking into account Uzbekistan's efforts to develop the digital economy, its favorable geographical location, and potential, the possibilities of building a new data center in the country and investing in this sector were discussed.
Praba Thiagarajah stated that he plans to send a working group of specialists to Tashkent in the near future. Basis Bay was established in 1996 and holds one of the leading positions in the information technology sector in Malaysia.
The company's main activities are focused on providing data centers and cloud services. Currently, they manage four large data centers in Kuala Lumpur and its surroundings.
