Approximately eight thousand Uzbek citizens traveled to the United States for tourism purposes from January to July of this year. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to official data from the National Statistics Committee, this figure increased by 996 people, or 14.3 percent, compared to the same period last year. This indicates a growing interest and opportunities among Uzbeks to travel to the USA.
During this period, the purposes of travel for citizens who went to the USA were distributed as follows: 5,683 for tourism, 1,978 to visit relatives and close ones, 179 for education, 104 for business trips, and 23 for medical treatment. Additionally, it was previously reported that 39 Uzbek citizens who did not have legal status to remain in the USA were deported.
