From October 1, 2025, new rules regarding the sale and use of vehicle numbers will come into effect in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
From now on, car owners will not only be limited to keeping their vehicle numbers but will also have the opportunity to officially transfer them to other individuals. During such a transfer process, a payment amounting to 50 percent of the base value of the vehicle number will be made.
This procedure was introduced based on Resolution No. 562 adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers on September 4, 2025. The new rules aim to simplify the procedures related to vehicle numbers and create convenience for car owners.
