A group involved in the illegal exploitation of people in Kyiv region has been exposed. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the Ukrainian prosecutor's office, among the criminals are two Chinese citizens, one Uzbek, and one Ukrainian woman. They have been detained and precautionary measures are currently being taken against them.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the suspects deceived and coerced individuals living in homelessness and difficult financial conditions into slavery. These people were kept under strict control, forced to work, and their freedom of movement was restricted.
They were subjected to excessive discrimination, even required to ask for permission to use the toilet, and fines were imposed for minor violations. Law enforcement agencies identified the houses and household facilities where the criminals lived and freed 13 Uzbek citizens who were kept in inhumane conditions.
This case is considered an important step in the fight against illegal slavery and exploitation. The information was taken from the zamin.uz website.
