
On September 22, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the US President's Special Representative for South and Central Asia, Sergio Gorny, within the framework of the 80th anniversary session of the UN General Assembly. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This meeting was an important step aimed at strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries and expanding future cooperation. Sergio Gorny conveyed the sincere greetings of US President Donald Trump, which once again confirmed the trust and goodwill in the relations between the two countries.
During the telephone conversation, the parties reached important agreements and took a step towards a new stage of cooperation. On September 5 of this year, the leaders of the two countries discussed the development and ensuring the stability of strategic partnership relations.
Political dialogue and exchange of delegations, as well as the activation of business relations, were positively assessed. The events held in New York served to further strengthen cooperation between Uzbekistan and the USA.
Meetings with leading US companies helped support new projects. In the future, contracts worth more than 100 billion dollars are expected to be implemented in sectors such as civil aviation, mining industry, finance, innovations, chemistry, and energy.
It was emphasized that it is important to utilize the opportunities of the US Export-Import Bank and the DFC fund to support new projects, as well as to establish a joint coordinating committee. In addition, the significance of cooperation in security, combating terrorism, and illegal migration was specially recognized.
The plan of upcoming events will serve to further strengthen cooperation in economic and security fields. These new initiatives will be of great importance in enhancing Uzbekistan's position on the international stage and bringing relations with the USA to a new level.
