
Yesterday, on September 23, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, met face-to-face for the first time with the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, within the framework of the 80th anniversary session of the UN General Assembly. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This meeting was announced by the press service of the Uzbek leader. During the meeting, issues of expanding trade and economic cooperation between the two countries were discussed in detail.
In particular, special attention was paid to attracting investments, developing innovations, improving transport infrastructure, and implementing cooperation projects in the agricultural sectors. In addition, agreements were reached to develop permanent contacts between the agencies of the two countries.
During the dialogue, the parties expressed their readiness to expand cooperation opportunities in the fields of culture, education, and technology. This meeting not only strengthens relations between the two heads of state but also plays an important role in further developing cooperation between the peoples and business circles.
For information, this meeting between Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Petr Pavel is the first. They had not met face-to-face before.
