As a result of disruptions in oil supplies from Russia, Uzbekistan has begun diversifying its fuel import routes. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In the first half of 2025, the volume of oil and condensate imported from Russia decreased by half. At the same time, crude imports from Turkmenistan increased fivefold.
Imports of gas condensate from Kazakhstan nearly tripled. Gasoline imports increased almost tenfold, while diesel quantities also grew.
There has been a decrease in mazut imports, as the country plans to phase it out. The volume of aviation kerosene coming from Russia has increased, with a large reserve created in Tashkent.
Thus, Uzbekistan is reducing its dependence on Russia for oil product imports and further strengthening cooperation with neighboring Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan. Source: zamin.uz
