An electronic customs declaration submission system has been introduced in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Now citizens have the opportunity to register smartphones and other goods at customs through the “Passenger Declaration” mobile application. Currently, this service is only available for travelers entering through Tashkent International Airport.
However, starting from November 1, 2025, this system will operate at all border crossing points. The application automatically fills in the main sections of the declaration based on the user's passport information.
Only information about the country of entry or exit and the currency and goods being brought in is required. Additionally, when registering smartphones, there is an option to automatically scan the 15-digit IMEI code, eliminating the need to enter this information manually.
Most importantly, passengers can complete the declaration at a convenient time and place for them. Special info kiosks and free Wi-Fi zones will be established at border points.
Detailed information about this innovation was published on the Kursiv.media website.
