
In the first eight months of 2025, a total of 54.6 thousand tons of poultry meat were imported into Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
It was noted that this figure increased by 14.2 percent compared to the same period last year. A total of 59.1 million dollars, approximately 725 billion soms, was spent on imports.
According to data from the State Statistics Committee, the main supplier country was Russia, from which 13.9 thousand tons of poultry meat were imported. Additionally, 9.8 thousand tons were imported from Turkey and 7 thousand tons from Belarus.
Furthermore, Belgium supplied 5.6 thousand tons, and the Netherlands delivered 4.2 thousand tons of meat. A total of 14.1 thousand tons of poultry meat was imported from other countries.
In the eight months of the current year, Uzbekistan spent a total of 2.6 billion dollars, or 32.2 trillion soms, on food product imports. This figure represents a 14 percent increase compared to last year.
Among the imported products, the largest share was accounted for by grain products, valued at 609 million dollars (7.5 trillion soms). Meat products were imported at a value of 504.7 million dollars (6.25 trillion soms).
