On October 13, 2023, a sharp change in weather is expected in some regions of Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the Hydrometeorological Service, wind speeds in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Khorezm, Bukhara, and Navoi regions may reach 13 to 18 meters per second. There is a possibility of dust storms occurring along with the wind.
Experts emphasize that such weather conditions can reduce visibility and negatively affect the respiratory system. Therefore, it is recommended that the population avoid going outside unnecessarily and use protective masks when outdoors.
It is especially advisable to keep children and the elderly indoors. Additionally, drivers are advised to reduce speed and exercise caution due to reduced visibility caused by dust storms.
Today's dusty weather mainly concerns the western and central parts of the country, with winds blowing from north to south. No sharp changes in air temperature are expected, but air quality may deteriorate.
According to experts, such weather conditions may last for 1-2 days. According to the Uzbekistan Hydrometeorological Service, it is necessary to take precautions to ensure the health and safety of the population.
